The Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin (DSAW) - Central Wisconsin chapter is hosting their first Awareness Walk on September 29 at Doepke Park (near Rib Mountain) from 12 to 3pm. This event is designed to raise awareness about Down Syndrome, and to raise funds to support programs in this area. The event will feature family activities (including bounce houses), raffles, and a walk-a-thon.
Here's how you can get involved:
- Volunteers are needed to help with set up and tear down.
- Laurel Marting is helping to raise funds by walking in the walk-a-thon and needs sponsors. If you would like to sponsor Laurel's team, or volunteer to help at the event, contact Miriam Marting at firstname.lastname@example.org (preferred) or by cell (715-245-0896.
